This is our house. Built circa 1955. The same one we have lived in for the past 7 years. See that little pickle in the window? That's #3.
A little path that leads to the front door. |
The front yard, which is soon to be a building site. |
Mr 3 Pickles removing the Camellia and clearing the yard for the excavators, due in the morning. |
7am we woke to the sounds of machinery. Sounded strangely good to my ears after so much planning SOMETHING was about to happen!! |
First contact!!! |
The 3 Pickles + Machinery = Fascinated. |
Later that day |
First concrete being poured into tree root barriers. |
Day 2: the concreters do their thing |
Still fascinated |
The slab has to cure for the next three weeks before the frame can go up. It has been ordered and will be pre-made in the factory before being delivered.
Is it just me, or do you find these things take waaaaay too long? Can anticipation actually kill you?
Loved seeing your little boys staring out the window!! I have a 7 1/2 month old boy and that's just how imagine him at that age, facscinated!!

Reading that bought back memories of our extension being built and yes why do they take so long? I really wish I had taken more photos of before our extension. Our fascinated watcher onerer was a little cat, not as fascinated as three busy boys I can imagine. Thanks for linking up for Flashback Friday Blogshare!
