My ultimate Christmas party would be held on the International Space Station in space! Lots of champagne floating around the room (so we'd have to fly around in order to slurp up the bubbles), music as loud as we like (because there's no chance of annoying any neighbours), and Christmas baubles floating all around us to create a wonderful festive atmosphere. And who knows, since we're in space we might actually see Santa flying by with his reindeers! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's all about the outdoors for me this year. i would like to see dozens of rectangular tables end to end in a clearing surrounded by trees covered in white Christmas lights. White table cloths and crisp linen napkins, candles in hurricane lamps all down the centre. Friends, family, neighbours and some celebrity guests would all bring their signature Christmas dishes to share. Ours would be hubby's Guiness ham. There would be fresh salds, crusty bread, fruit salads and cakes. Matt's mixed six would be everywhere so their is great wine to share with the different dishes. The Dj would play Christmas Carols all through dinner but afterwards would crank out the latest dance tracks or even some retro tunes. Good homecooked food, great wine, dancing and lively conversation - Celebrity guests would include Robin Williams, Stephen Fry, Pink, Louis Theroux, Stephen Hawking and John Berrowmsn. John might even pick up the microphone and give us some showtunes later in the night.
